Ceramic Finish 100IG

Ceramic finish coating

Is a high performance fluid applied material incorporating heat reflecting, refracting, and dissipating ceramic particles in an extremely durable and adhesive coating. Numastec #100 IG is formulated with more dense ceramics to better withstand exposure to industrial environments where protection against natural and chemical corrosion and thermal safety are vital factors.

Numastec Ceramic Finish # 100 IG provides long-term protection of hot surfaces, even at high temperatures, which is often a threat. He is an excellent outer barrier reflective to infrared and ultraviolet radiation.

Numastec Ceramic Finish # 100 IG has low deterioration coefficient due to excellent ability to reflect heat (white reflects more than 85%), and its unique property to scatter (dispersion coefficient higher than 90% for all colours), as well as the density of the ceramic particles. Together, these properties allow to eliminate the "thermal stress or strain" due to:

  • Creating a barrier that prevents the penetration of thermal radiation
  • Rapid dissipation of any absorbed heat (to avoid heating the base)
  • Protection of the base component and the composite coating from the harmful effects of UV radiation
  • Machinery
  • Steam pipes
  • Heating and air conditioning ducts
  • Tanks (chemical storage, boilers, and food preparation)
  • Refrigeration units
  • Other specialty uses

MAINTENANCE

With proper storage, the shelf life of Numastec #100 IG is12 months. Do not store in direct sunlight, on roof prior to use, or near high heat sources. Air temperature of storage area shall be maintained between 5°С to 43°С.

During long-term storage, it is recommended that containers be turned upside down or shaken every 3 months to retard complete separation of solvents and solids.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

May be applied by brush or roller. For better results, use a deep nap (2,5 cm or longer) industrial roller. For wide area coverage use airless spray equipment that delivers at least 7,6 gal/min at no less than 205 bars to propel product through carbide or tungsten steel reversible tips ranging in size from 0,8 mm to 0,9 cm. Numastec 100IG is never reduced in water. Apply directly out of container. Usually a minimum two-coat application of 400 microns, combined thickness is recommended for optimum performance.
