Aquata

Two-component environmentally friendly anti-corrosion epoxy coating

For outstanding corrosion protection of metal, resistant in an aggressive environment – Numastec Aquata. Two-component solvent-free epoxy for ultimate corrosion protection, specially designed for the industrial and marine markets.

Aquata is highly suitable for any metal surfaces in both marine environments as well as on land. Ships, oil and gas facilities, hydropower and steel sheet pilings are examples of what kind of market segments this product can be successfully utilized. In addition, it has a few practical advantages that separate it from other epoxy systems, such as the ability to cure under all temperature conditions- meaning also at very low temperatures. Lifespan under normal conditions of more than 10 years.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE:

Numastec Aquata recommended as a single coating for long-term protection against corrosion of metal surfaces, including underwater. Continuing resistance to industrial and marine air, sweet and salt water, neutral salts, mineral and other oils, residue oils, chlorine detergents, etc. Suitable for long-term corrosion protection of metal and non-metallic surfaces, including for dyeing tanks and pipes for potable water storage.

Our system is a two-component system.

  • 100 % solids (no losses during applications -less consummation)
  • Free of solvents
  • Low water absorption - no swelling
  • Long-lasting abrasion resistant
  • Delta test: proves extremely long durability
  • Corrosion protection of steel surfaces above and under water
  • Permanent resistance to industrial and sea atmosphere, sweet and brackish water, salt water, neutral salts, mineral and heating oils, fatting oils, chlorine free detergents, etc.
  • High impermeability
  • Very good adhesion (important in combination with anti fouling)
  • Very fast drying time (4 hours)
  • Inner and outer surfaces of water tanks, fuel oil and gas
  • Reservoirs for wastewater
  • Tanks for drinking water
  • The internal and external surfaces of pipelines to transport oil and gas
  • Inner and outer surfaces of pipes of hydroelectric power plants (turbines and spare parts)
  • Housings and ballast tanks of ships and tankers
  • Quay wall at the docks and ports, sheet piling on the canals, sluice door structures at sea
  • Wind energy centers
  • Also we have used our system inside the biggest transport ship in the world
  • for the live fish transportation. The ship is coated inside with our system without killing or harming living fish and salmons

MAINTENANCE

The material can be stored in well tightened original packaging for a period of at least 2 years. Possible crystallization has to be homogenized by warming up to 30oC and stirred well.

AQUATA ® shall be applied using a plural pump system designed for two-compound materials. The material shall be heated to obtain spray viscosity and each of the two components has to be well stirred before use!

The specified thickness is achieved using the method of airless spraying. The uniform layer thickness and even appearance depend on the application. It is recommended to make a test at the given place of application to find out if the result of the selected method of the product application will comply with the requirements.

Spraying equipment:

A powerful plural system for airless spraying of two-compound materials. Spraying pressure in gun: at least 400 bar; hose diameter: at least 3/8" or 8 mm, jet: e.g. 0,58 mm, spraying angle: 40 - 80°. (Under ideal conditions the material can be transported up to at least 60 meters).
